The London Cab Advertising Porsche driven by Richard
Westbrook wins again & again!

Richard Westbrook completed a perfect double victory at Croft, fending
off a strong challenge from Mike Rockenfeller in the closing stages
of the feature race.
With Rockenfeller and Barry Horne starting at the back of the grid,
the stage was set for a thrilling race and that was how it proved
to be.
While Westbrook, Jason Templeman and David Pinkney led the field
away, Horne and Rockenfeller started to carve their way up the order.
Horne set the pace as they stormed into contention, but Horne's
race was to come to a premature halt with clutch failure after he
had charged up to third. It was a major blow to Barry, who scored
just two points in the course of the weekend.
Now Rockenfeller had a clear track to Templeman and quickly closed
in on second place before diving ahead on lap 16.
"I knew Rockenfeller was a lot faster, so there was no point
in racing with someone who wasn't scoring points," said Templeman.
Now Rockenfeller moved in on Westbrook and with two laps to go they
were nose to tail. However, Westbrook was determined to retain his
lead and countered Rockenfeller's moves to take a famous victory.
"I did have it all covered at the end, so I didn't feel too
much under threat," said a jubilant Westbrook. "It was
a very hard race and very hot in the car," said Rockenfeller
after a great drive.
Meanwhile, Templeman was pleased with third and a major gain on
Horne in the points table. Pinkney fended off Jurgen van den Goorbergh
to the flag in fourth as Jonathon Cocker completed the top six.
